Australian divorce property rights - Does the law change from state to state?

Looking to find good information on divorce laws in Australia - please point in right direction.


Does it make any difference what state you live in - or what country you were originally married in (Canada)?


What is the best state to get divorced in if you are male and primary money maker?


No kids involved.|||Under the Constitution of Australia, marriage is one area which is handled by the Federal Govt, so it makes no difference which State you live in. The Federal courts - the Family Court and the Federal Magistrates Court - follow the same precedents nationwide.
