Just two possibilities from the top of my head.|||Wife and Mother : you showed your bias with the word "stereotype". I know women in the military, including a sister. They are not attention seekers. Both are nurses and are in the military for the benefits they will get for retirement. It's sad that a woman would would make an assumption like this.

|||the working environment is conducive to cheating.women who join the armed forces are usually attention seekers. this theory holds true for paramedics, fire, police.
anyone take a look at the women who are in those fields and 3/4 fit the stereotype I stated above.
A few are in it for the job, but many of them have personality/male attention seeking issues.|||I think it is because you get so bored while your spouse is at schooling or out on a trip or at war. You get bored and need something to do. However on a base there is not much you can do by yourself. So you end up getting so lonely and depressed you just have to get out.|||What Wifeandmom said cannot be more true but their are also other fators such as when husbands are deployed their wives cheat on them while their gone. Also in the military work comes first unless there is some kind of family emergency and a lot of spouses can't understand that and get mad at their husbands for working too much or working a schedule that doesn't coincide with theirs.|||seperation|||DEPLOYMENT
